MY PLANING WR44 WITH TWIN MTU 600HP EACH GEAR BOX 2:1 , 1180 RPM CRUISING AND TOP 2400 RPM ,   WE ARE BEGINNING STEEL TRAWLERS CONSTRUCTION ON JUNE . UNTIL JUNE I'M HEARING ABOUT BRAZILIANS PREFERENCE ON BOAT TYPES AND SIZES , I'LL MADE BOATS IN SERIAL CONSTRUCTION , TWO SIZES 38 AND 42-44 .

ABOVE: Using the full size patterns I laid out the frames shapes on a steel base.

RIGHT: Here you see the frames set up and some of the stringers installed.

The transom is left off at this stage.

Here you see the plating being installed .. note the wide planing strake on the chine ... that helps this boat get up and go !

Plating completed, the hull is now upright and have been grit blasted and primed. Rubbing strip is also installed.
